The location was excellent. Very near to the beach. The food was excellent. It was a good new year break for us. The indoor pool was awesome. They even offered a free water aerobics class which was fun. Our stay was very comfortable, the facilities were excellent.

Beautiful hotel, everything has been thought out to the detail, amazingly located in Falésia, with pine trees all over and beach 2 min walk with direct access. Very attentive staff and food is simply delicious, breakfast and also dinner. The spa has this zen feeling and staff is super friendly. It was my 5th stay at this hotel and will surely come back again.

Lovely apartment, very clean, spacious, almost everything you need in the kitchen, great views, great indoor parking, easily accessible. The large double bed was very firm, a little too firm for me, but perfect for my mother, so it's really a matter of preference. Would definitely like to go back one day. We were very lucky with the weather which made our stay extra special over the Christmas period. Staff were all very friendly.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of Albufeira. We weren’t blown away by this party town for teenage kids, but this hotel provided a peaceful haven. Very quiet, great facilities, fantastic staff. Breakfast was also extraordinary, we enjoyed it very much.

We had the perfect stay. It was our anniversary weekend and the team @ W residences made it feel extra special. Hannah at check-in went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and Diego was also ready to help everytime. Food was lovely especially at the Italian restaurant @ the rooftop. Facilities, cleanliness, room service team etc Highly recommend, can’t wait to go back.

Sun, Sand and The Strip!

One of the best Algarve resorts, Albufeira has wonderful beaches, turquoise waters and the dramatic, rocky coastline that makes this part of Portugal so special.

Naturally, life here is all about sun, sand and sea. The most popular Albufeira beach is Fisherman’s Beach and you can still see locals bringing in the fishing boats every morning - if you’re up early enough, that is. Tunnel Beach is accessed through an opening in the cliff, and both offer a variety of watersports.

Further up the coast is Albufeira Marina, from where sightseeing boat trips depart, while east of the town is the 9-hole Balaia golf course. On the way here, you pass Arias de Sao João, home to The Strip where the best bars and clubs are found, many staying open until the early hours.

The Old Town of Albufeira is more peaceful, and its cobbled streets house Moorish buildings and some great restaurants serving fresh fish. If you fancy a day trip from Albufeira, the 12th-century remains of Moorish Almoáda Castle in Paderne can be visited for free.

The town is around 45 minutes’ drive from Faro Airport and there is a fantastic range of beach resorts, small B&Bs and Albufeira apartments on Booking.com.

Albufeira is really lively and fun - we stayed in the old town for the duration - it had everything we needed just on the doorstep . Favourite restaurant was Tres Coroas , best breakfast the Rocamar hotel and spa

The town centre is very busy, but you can find everything you need. There are some really great places to eat and most have options for a Celiac diet. We enjoyed the different beaches nearby which are easily accessible by car. The steps down to the town and local beach give you a good work out. There are local supermarkets quite close by and it is a short ride to the main strip with clubs and nightlife. I think it is a good place for families with children as you can find different things to do for all the family. I would recommend exploring other beaches close by to enjoy the varied coastline.

Alburfiera caters for all tastes with a mixture of modern & more traditional areas. Lots of areas to visit. Very lively place & if looking for a more secluded quiet experience then look out of town for accommodation. This is the place if you want city vibes. Old town/new town mix. Strip has a bit of a reputation but I've never seen any trouble in 8 visits so no different to anywhere else. Wide range of restaurants serving all types of dishes from steakhouses to oriental to traditional. Great value all around

Great to have a choice between the old town and the new town...

Great to have a choice between the old town and the new town (new town was good fun with an older teenager in tow) with bolts/uber being so easy to use and reliable. The beaches are perfect, and so many to choose from in the locality. The food is plentiful and out of 10 days we only had one meal that was 'okay', the rest was exceptional whether it was lunch or an evening meal. There were so many activities on offer and the ones we managed to cram in were just all excellent and well organised. The Portuguese welcome and care we received will mean we will be going back!

Albufeira itself is full of bars and restaurants and tourist shops. The tourist information office is worth a visit. The beach near the old town was pleasant but busy. The tourist train and tuk tuks are fun to ride. It is easy to get to the Marina as well which gives you access to plenty of activities especially different tours on the water. Taxis are reasonably priced and got us to some of the quieter secret beaches the other side of the Marina. There was plenty of nightlife. All music stopped in all venues at 3a.m. Residential properties where we were outside the town were in quiet neighbourhoods. Views are stunning.

Lovely town especially the old town, some good bars and excellent eateries. Worth taking the time to meander around and take in the atmosphere. Can be a little expensive for drinks in some parts of the old town. Beautiful beaches and scenic coastline. Taxis are good value, particularly Uber and there are regular bus services.

I only chose this hotel as it was close to the beaches, the marina and the old town as although it's 10 minutes of hillwalking to them but I will not complain as it helps to get my steps especially after a few pints 😂 24 hour reception and staff are visible if there is a problem. They were kind enough to look after my luggage after checking out because I had several hours to see Albufeira once more before my airport transfer collected me. If you require a taxi they are happy to call one for you.

All the facilities were very good. The room (it was an apartment) was very good. Breakfast was very good, with enough options every day. Swimming pool area and lounge chairs always full, best time to get a chance to have a lounge chair was in the early morning or end of the afternoon. Staff very helpful. Enough options in the menu for all day, and good choices for kids. The hotel was 10/15 mins walking to the beach, and to the New Town. Easy to access the Old Town.

The best are in Albufeira for me. Its close to old city and when you go out its already by the beach. The beach area is so perfect for sunset and the view of the old town from there is amazing. It is also not too far from the new town or the strip which is like 15 mins walk. You will enjoy walking there with neighborhood .
