AlmaLusa Alfama is a small but cozy boutique hotel that truly captures the charm of Lisbon’s historic Alfama district. Despite its compact size, the hotel feels warm and welcoming, with stylish décor and a comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The location is absolutely perfect — tucked in the heart of Alfama, it’s just a short walk from key sights, great restaurants, and the scenic viewpoints that make this area so special. It’s also surprisingly convenient if you’re arriving by car, with public parking located nearby, making access much easier than in most parts of central Lisbon. Overall, AlmaLusa Alfama is an excellent choice for travelers looking for an authentic Lisbon stay with comfort, convenience, and character

The staff are very professional and helpful. The hotel is well located, close to the metro, cafes and a small supermarket. The breakfast has lots of variety and the staff keep all the food replenished and are quick to clear and clean vacated tables. The bed was very comfortable indeed with nice pillows too. The shower was nice and powerful with lots of hot water. The glass bottle of water in the room was replaced with a full one when needed. All in all this is a very nice little hotel indeed, I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again should I visit Lisbon.

We liked the location very much: a quiet pedestrian street in an old part of Lisbon. Still a residential area despite some tourist accommodation. Lots of small cafes very close by, some traditional, some trendy. You'll be close to the Puppet Museum and a 10m walk away from the excellent Museu de Arte Antinguo, where there's a beautiful riverside garden and cafe. It's a 15 to 20 minutes walk in the other direction to the central Praca do Commercio. If you don't like walking, catch a tram or an Uber. Inside, the studio apartment is a bright, well designed space on the ground floor. The kitchen is well equipped and we very much appreciated the washing machine. Shower gel, cleaning products etc all provided, which made for an easy stay. There's a spacious cupboard which is big enough for those of us who don't travel light! We would certainly come back to this apartment if it was available. We come to Lisbon a lot and this was one of the best apartments we've found for price and location.

Our flight got cancelled and we were stranded for four more nights in Lisbon and in the last moment, we decided to book this hotel and it happened to be the best decision and one of the best stays ever! The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful all the time. They were attentive and made us feel welcome during our stay. The hotel has everything for a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. Everything was super clean. The pools were amazing. The breakfast was wonderful, with great coffee and of course, traditional portuguese pastries. The restaurant has a varied menu for lunch -even a buffet- and dinner. And the room service was also great and didn't took too long. Coffee by the pool was also excelent, while the kids had a blast. The beach is also not that far away, so we drove there a couple of times. In conclussion, we had a really good time and we are thankful that we "landed" in this hotel!

Love it! A city that has held on to it's true character. The neighbourhoods with small intimate restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Very few major chains. Access to the sea and hills to walk. Plenty of greenery dotted around. A charming place we come back to often and still find new experiences on offer.

Sintra is an amazing place, but we hadn't done our homework properly. We should have discovered that: 1 - tickets to the main attractions can sometimes book out days in advance 2 - the main day of our visit was a major national holiday, so traffic and booked out attractions were even more of a challenge than usual. That said, even though we didn't get to visit some key attractions, what we did see was stunning and delightful.

Setubal is a great place for holidays.

Setubal is a great place for holidays. There a lot to see, from Mosteiro de Jesus, Forte de S.Filipe, Mercado do Livramento not only with fresh vegetables and fruits but also with fresh fish as you never seen and of course the portuguese tiles in the wall. But there's the river Sado, and Atlantic ocean, the beaches Albarquel, Figueirinha, Galapos, Arrabida and yes a great hike to Arrabida mountain (500m). There's the food,... fish, seafood, squid and octopus, the wine, the red, the white, moscatel, the sweets. Well you can go to Palmela or cross the river and go to Troia.

There were two issues that were not quite good. One, the air conditioning was not working properly; one night it was too cold and the other 6 nights it did not work at all. Secondly, the shower was very slippery. I almost fell and slightly hurt my foot trying to prevent a fall. Other than that, everything else was extraordinary.

Oeiras is a suburb of Lisbon, so not overwhelmed by tourists. We found some great places to eat that were appreciative of our custom. There was a fantastic vegan restaurant just outside the town centre (Alma Veg). The main problem for us was the ddual carriageway that passes right by the beaches.
