We spent 6 nights at Hotel Scherman and it was one of the best hotels I had in NYC. The room (suite with two bathrooms) was spacious and cozy, the view from the balcony fantastic (you can even see some of the billboards near Time Square). The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and most of all I was positively surprised by the breakfast (which was included in our booking). Honestly, the best US continental breakfast I have seen so far.

I stayed there for a week while sightseeing NYC. Everything from the communication with the host, through the accommodation and whole booking process was flawless. Location of the apartment was perfect, 5 minutes walk from Times Square, shops, restaurants and everything else was within walking distance! Room had AC which came in need on warmer days and kitchen was fully equipped while having additional stuff to make a coffee or tea in the morning! Price and location really make this place worth the booking! Amazing place to stay at even though I was mostly there just to sleep :)

Firstly the apartment: It's clean, full of all amenities, have access to gym, super markets are around, metro is 5 mins walk - and you name a thing for use in the flat and you'll find it in the apartment there, literally.
Then about the host: A kind, considerate, and very open minded person. You won't get to see him much except for when he hands you the key and answers your questions, if you have any. Thereafter, you can contact him on whatsApp / texts and he will respond asap to help. So, all in all 10/10 for the host too.

The staff was always friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and clean. I really liked the temperature controls. The TV was big and high-quality. The location was perfect; it's very close to Central Park, Times Square, multiple subway lines, great restaurants, and a good supermarket. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary day passes to a local gym (Crunch), which is about a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

We truly had an excellent stay at this hotel. We stayed for 10 days and couldn't be happier with our experience. The breakfast is outstanding, with a huge variety of options, and they add something new almost every day. The location is perfect. The subway is only about a block and a half away, making it very easy to get around the city.
At no point did we feel unsafe in the area. We were two women walking back to the hotel around 1:00 AM, and we never had any issues.
As for the hotel itself, everything was excellent. The facilities are very well maintained, the rooms are spotless, the beds and pillows are extremely comfortable, and housekeeping did a fantastic job every day.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel, 10/10. This was my third trip to New York, and honestly, it's the best hotel I've stayed at so far.

Location is amazing! Despite the location being so central, there is still very little noise at night. We upgraded to a Premier room, room was super spacious and very comfortable. The room was also cleaned every day. Key card access is required to enter the building so felt very secure. All staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
