Absolutely loved the location. We were mesmerized by the view of the ocean from the property and the 12 apostles as the backdrop just topped it all off. Just as we were taking in the beauty of the property on arrival, we were met by the friendliest staff and they made our stay an absolute delight. This was the perfect little get away, got the serenity I needed, away from the hustle and bustle of Joburg, and being able to take a walk to the beach was another one of my favourite things about the location. We also really enjoyed breakfast and received great service. So overall it's a 10/10 for me, would highly recommend ❤️

The room were beautiful and clean. The view was amazing , we got to see sunset while we in bed. The staff was nice, friendly and very helpful. The front of house lady even offered us a late check out because of the bad weather. She suggested a nice place to have dinner which is close by and it’s was lovely

The breakfast at Sea Star Rocks is one of the best I have ever enjoyed at a five star boutique hotel. Especially the Eggs Benedict. And the pancakes. And the fruit salad. And and and ... Daina, George, Sabina and Felix (German speaking too) arranged my stay in the best possible way including reservations at the best restaurants (La Colombe and Fyn) on a very short notice.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and peaceful cottage. The location was quiet and safe, with stunning views and beautiful sunsets from the balcony. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. Barbara, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even better. The cottage itself had a beautifully maintained outdoor area with plenty of flowers, which created a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. We loved spending time on the balcony with its amazing views and also enjoyed the little seating area by the entrance—perfect for morning coffee or evening chats. A few small notes for future guests: 1. The queen-size bed might feel a bit tight for two people. 2. The staircase to the second floor could be tricky for elderly guests or families with small children. A studio might be a better option in such cases. 3. The area isn’t very walkable, but it’s peaceful and away from the noise, which we loved. Uber is affordable and made getting around very easy. 4. A deposit of 1500 ZAR is required and returned upon checkout. I didn’t see this mentioned on the Booking.com page, and when I booked the cottage, we were already in South Africa and didn’t have the chance to withdraw cash. Barbara kindly accepted the dollars we had on hand, but it’s something to keep in mind. 5. During our stay, the washing machine wasn’t working. It would have been helpful to know earlier so we could have washed clothes at our previous accommodation. Overall, these were very minor points and didn’t affect our experience. The cottage is a lovely and peaceful retreat, and we’d happily stay here again!
