The hosts were delightful. They made every effort to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast spread was great. Soft boiled egg with cold cuts and cheese, home made jams, local honey, bread, croissants, “pain au chocolat” and various pastries. Herbal teas are from the local farmer’s wife who picks fresh herbs for the teas. Ingredients for breakfast and dinner are sourced from local farmers. There are only 4 rooms available (a fifth room for overflow crowds) and all guests sit at a communal table for breakfast and dinner. You get to meet all kinds of people from all over Europe. The room price was extremely reasonable considering that you are staying in a castle from 1600. The rooms are huge! You are staying in a building that is over 400 years old and the bathrooms have been renovated to the 21st century standards. Our room included a sauna in the bathroom! The breakfast room doubles as a dining room in the evening with dinner served at 7PM sharp. Dinner was a three-course meal for 25 euros and was cooked by one of the hosts. Excellent food. You can pair your dinner with local wines, one different type for each course. There is a game room with a pool table. Wifi is only available in the breakfast room.

the house is in a lovely village with shops and restaurants. the house was very clean tidy. gentleman who gives us the keys was quick and efficient.
