I can only highly recommend the Royal Malioboro when staying in Yogyakarta! The room is great, the staff are very friendly and the facilities are excellent. The breakfast was also one of the best I have had with a good mix of Indonesian, Javanese and western food. Being directly off Malioboro Street you also stay in the center of town with all sights at your doorstep. I can’t wait to go back.

We had the family room, which was big and very clean. The place itself is cosy and nice. The location was perfect, and the staff was super friendly :) highly recommend it!

Their bed is really good quality, we really had a good sleep. We went to nearby restaurant, Sate Klayu that has good food and nice view, walked in the rice paddles near the area and it was very relaxing.. We took all the tours they have, Bromo, Tumpak Sewu and Paragliding which surprisingly very cheap and fun! The house is super clean, it has everything we need. The staffs are very attentive, always take care of us by WA all the time, clean our room when we are outside. They gave us earplugs so we can rest well although our room is in front of the dining room. This is the first time of my traveling in Asia, a local homestay get very detail by providing amenities like this… and they gave apple juice for free, apparently it is is the local famous drinks from Malang and Batu city. They told me they have Batik Workshop coming in but sadly we have to leave. Definitely a come back! This place is one of a kind, totally recommend :))
