Its location was perfect — only a quarter of an hour from the Sekenani Gate — making it convenient to visit the Masai Mara, where we had an unforgettable safari. We also visited a local village and a school and the camp was also a wonderful place to relax, with great food and a cosy campfire in the evenings. The people were incredibly friendly, which made both our teenage kids and us feel very welcome. We also arranged our jeep with guide/driver via this place (Kambu Campers), which we can absolutely recommend. Overall, a fantastic experience!”

Situées sur une plate-forme ombragée donnant sur la rivière Talek, ces tentes de luxe d'environ 26 m² sont dotées d'un lit queen-size ou de 2 lits jumeaux. So special place in nice location on the Talek river, many animals around , hippos and crocodiles monkeys and more. The rooms are very clean and have all the facilities you will need. The food is superb. And the staff are very friendly and always happy to help on all what needs. It’s not my first time in Mara but it’s the best place I have ever stay in Mara.

This tent's special feature is the fireplace. The tent provides a tea and coffee maker, a seating area, a balcony with garden views as well as a private bathroom featuring a shower. We had a really nice stay at Veilscamp. Not only Masai Mara by itself, even Veilscamp was the highlight of our whole Kenya-Trip. The food was amazing, we had 3 courses Menues, a tent all by ourselves and especially the staff was soo good. Peter stayed in contact with us even before we have arrived to get sure we get fresh lunch, Vivienne and Steve were all the time so kind and treated us so well. Thanks to all of you for making the stay unforgettable to us.

Super location with tents spaced out between private winding paths on a hill with a view. Dining area with fireplace and washroom. Tents with washroom also. Great dinner was an added bonus. This was super for a group of work colleagues visiting the park.

The fireplace is a top feature of this tent. The well-equipped kitchenette has a stovetop, a refrigerator and kitchenware. L’établissement Kobe Mara vous accueille à Talek. We had an absolutely beautiful week at Kobe Mara, in the Masai Mara Conservancy. We stayed in one of their four tents and had the most incredible wildlife roaming in front of our tent or at the water in front of the main house every single day. Sammy, his right hand Jonathan and their team carried us on their hands and made sure our every need was met with a huge smile. We went on games drives in the Masai Mara with rangers Moses & Alex. Their passion for nature and their culture was tangible in the experience and the knowledge they shared priceless. The chef Julius did wonders in the kitchen & the team even surprised us with a cake and little celebration on our final evening. The experiences we have had in the last week is something we will cherish forever. We cannot wait for our next visit.

The staff from the reception ( Kennedy and Lin) , the chef and his staff, the helpers(Jacky) and the other ladies and also the security were amazing

Small (3 tents, one of which is a large family tent), intimate, charming camp, unfenced, ideally located, in the north conservancy, just 5 minutes from the Maasai Mara’s Musiara gate entrance, 15 minutes from the air strip. Completely local ownership and management, which we highly value and one of the reasons we chose this, together with the location and the small size. We had tent 3, high on stilts, large, private, wooden floors, huge netted windows, outside deck all around, unobstructed views on the savannah. Big comfortable bed with good mattress, en-suite bathroom with toilet and huge shower, running water. Electricity and hot water are solar - electricity is around the clock, so maybe the camp tops it up at night with a generator, but we never heard one. Large, charming traditional mess tent, with bar area, and extra lounge, wonderful outdoor deck with fire pit, small plunge pool with deck chairs. Food was excellent, they will apparently cater to dietary needs but have a fixed menu. Most meals in the mess tent, some scenically set in the bush. All drinks were included as was daily laundry. Highly knowledgeable and dedicated guides (William the owner, and Alex), game drives were mostly inside the park and arranged as and when we wished, with picnic breakfast and/or lunch, or not, as we wished. Park fees were included which made the offer we got superb value for money. We had been on safari several times almost 4 decades ago when luxury safaris were mobile or semi-permanent tented camps, small, unfenced, only with simple drop toilets and hot bucket showers, communication only via radio, bush cooking, communal mess tent and fire pit… but with an abundance of local staff delivering perfect, exclusive service. That’s the feeling we were looking for again and this is the closest we found on our trip to Kenya: very similar traditional, exclusive safari feeling , experience and charm, with great service, modern comforts, but no excesses and low imprint.
