Nirvaan is a wonderful lodge in the middle of nature and very close to Wilpattu national park. We were lucky to be around when Ranil, the owner, was there. Ranil is a respected conservation biologist and a wealth of knowledge about flora and fauna in Wilpattu and in Sri Lanka at large. He arranges safaris with good naturalists and drivers. His trips may be a bit more costly than what other providers will offer you, but you get a better jeep where you can interact with the guide and driver while you drive. We saw lots of wildlife even though we did not see the big ones- elephants and leopards. Ranil runs an organisation that aims to protect wildlife in cooperation with local people. He was so kind to take us to see one of the projects nearby. We admire the work he does. We highly recommend this lodge.

The fireplace is the standout feature of this tent. The tent features a washing machine, a private entrance, as well as a private bathroom boasting a walk-in shower and a bath. The staff were really helpful. Food was amazing. Staff went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible experience.

This unique tent is set on the border of the National Park and comes with a private bathroom. Great place to feel the safari atmosphere . we had a fantastic ,enthusiastic safari guide who helped us see all possible animals , the meals were delicious

Very new clean and comfortable place with nice private rooms, comfy beds and great location. Short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The owner is also very helpful and friendly and generous.

This tent features a sofa, patio and private entrance. Elegante e ecológico, o Dolphin Beach dispõe de barracas de camping luxuosas ao lado de um trecho privativo na Praia Alankuda, Sri Lanka. The beach location was wonderful. The tents were really comfortable and well-equipped. The swimming pool was quiet and sea two steps away. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing with delicious curries and dal, fruit and cakes and eggs etc. The staff arranged our dolphin boat trip and the dolphins swam around underneath us - a magical experience. Great spot for bird watching too. We highly recommend Dolphin Beach Resort - a very special place.
