Nirvaan is a wonderful lodge in the middle of nature and very close to Wilpattu national park. We were lucky to be around when Ranil, the owner, was there. Ranil is a respected conservation biologist and a wealth of knowledge about flora and fauna in Wilpattu and in Sri Lanka at large. He arranges safaris with good naturalists and drivers. His trips may be a bit more costly than what other providers will offer you, but you get a better jeep where you can interact with the guide and driver while you drive. We saw lots of wildlife even though we did not see the big ones- elephants and leopards. Ranil runs an organisation that aims to protect wildlife in cooperation with local people. He was so kind to take us to see one of the projects nearby. We admire the work he does. We highly recommend this lodge.

Tranquil location with a great look out over the lake. Perfect for a slow green morning. Has hammocks, a barge and an outside dining area. The staff were attentive and very kind. We did the full day Wilpattu tour which was super easy to arrange. Amazing value for money.

This unique tent is set on the border of the National Park and comes with a private bathroom. Great location close to the park. The staff were wonderful m, and so was the food.

They organised the trips to the park both times with very cool guides. The glamping experience for was new to me, and we had a lot of fun. The tents are spacious with simple appliances, but with everything you'll need.

Beautiful property excellent staff. Did the full day we saw 2 leopards, and every other animal except for elephants.

Situated in Kalpitiya in the Puttalam District region, summer wave features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a fitness room. Had an amazing experience, the local family is very welcoming and fun. Great food and ambience love the nature vibes. Great place to stay would definitely come back.
