This place is even better than in the pictures. Perfect for romantic and relaxing escape.

Calheta Glamping Pods - Nature Retreat, a property with a garden, is located in Calheta, 27 km from Girao Cape, 29 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools, as well as 35 km from Marina do Funchal. One of the best accomodations we've ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous surroundings, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. We certainly felt like we were in paradise valley. The gardens in springtime are full of colour and delightfully scented. The atmosphere of the whole property is incredible, perfect for relaxing. We had an amazing experience, the host also was incredibly helpful.The room was wonderful, cozy, clean, and fully equiped!! Great touch was the freshly baked delicious bread every morning. Definitely a must do if you are looking for a good time in Madeira!!!

The host was so supportive and attentive and fixed any issues immediately (one day water didn’t work). It’s also a 6-8 hour round trip to pico do Areiro hiking from the shelters, just follow the markers.

The fully equipped kitchen has a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and a microwave. Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

It is equipped with everything you need and the bed is sooo confortable. The staff is also very kind and always available. From the park you can do a 2-3h walk to Pico Areeiro- we did it for sunrise and was moderate level. We would definitely come back in the future!!
