It felt more like visiting a friend than staying at a camp. ​The Location: The location is spot on. You’re surrounded by nature, yet it’s easy to get around. It's peaceful, quiet, and exactly what a 'nature camp' should be. ​The tents are comfortable, the facilities are clean, and the overall experience was simply the best. If you're looking for a place with heart and soul in Ko Kood, this is it. I can't wait to come back!

After not being thrilled with our hotel, my partner and I were looking for a new place to stay as quickly as we could- on Christmas Day on Koh Kood :/ Not a lot of space on the island at that time, and we feared we'd be out of luck. I booked us a vacant spot at I-Lay House at a steep discount, sight-unseen, and hoped for the best. The lovely owner of the establishment came to pick us up personally and even organized a truck pick-up for us when she saw our luggage. As luck would have it, we were given the most recently made room, and it was incredible. The room (and bathroom/shower) was spotless and beautifully decorated, 20 paces from the shore. The beach was clean, with plenty of chairs and shade to share with the few other people around. Wouldn't have minded it being more busy even, as the other guests were by-and-large very friendly and fun to talk to. Staff, particularly the owner, were welcoming and eager to help with anything you needed. Food was delicious and presented beautifully, with the free breakfasts being a highlight. Romantic sunsets with stunning nature surroundings. Despite thinking we'd like to see what else the island had to offer, we were too enchanted by the food, views, and vibe of the area to stray farther than the beach chairs. It's no exaggeration to say that this place saved our vacation, and we'd be so happy to be able to return someday.

Veha! Amazing. I have come to this island for years and Veha always found me accommodations. When I learned he started a tent camp I knew I had to stay here, even though I had a place for a couple months. 555. He is responsible for me coming every year. He is the "island man". for me. He recommends everything. He's honest and can tell you what is vacant (even if it is not his place), he can rent you a motorbike or boat trip or recommend the AMAZING restaurant on the property. The campground is literally so close to the beach and he speaks so highly of the restaurant I had to try it. I had never been. SO GOOD! I love waking up in the morning and hearing the birds. Now is a nice time because it is "winter", which is like my summer. 555. I love the comfortable mattresses and the fans. It's literally perfect (Dec-Feb). I cannot say for other months, but I love this and we will stay again in a tent soon if it becomes available. Forget "glamping" - this is legit camping with everything one would need. He can also hire any driver/boats/etc you may need. I am so happy. I will definitely be back as long as Veha is my host. That you for making my stay so wonderful.
