Cabañas Tahonga Rapa Nui is a recently renovated apartment in Hanga Roa, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. Spacious, comfortable, quiet. A bit far from town. Can be a 30-40 minute walk from centre of town. But very safe, never felt unsafe even late at night. Car rental on site was helpful. Tours will pick you up at the hotel and taxi is about 5000clp, for the nights you stay in town for dinner. Hosts were most gracious, always available and very helpful through the whole process. The whole island operates on what's app. And we found that tour operators (private guides) are not available (no cell or wifi service on half the island where the tours are) during the day, but are very responsive at night.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, we booked two day tours with them and they were great. The breakfast buffet is fresh and delicious, you can ask for eggs on demand which are also delicious. large selection of food overall
