I stayed here alone this summer, hoping to unwind, recharge, and enjoy a bit of peace by the lake — and this hotel exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into a dream. The setting is unreal: a crystal-clear alpine lake nestled among towering green mountains, with summer sunshine sparkling on the water and wildflowers blooming everywhere. The view from my room — especially from the balcony — was absolutely breathtaking. I often just sat there in silence, taking it all in. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between comfort and charm. It felt cozy and welcoming, but still elegant. Traveling alone can sometimes feel awkward, but here I felt completely at ease. The staff were genuinely kind — always helpful, never intrusive — and made me feel like more than just a guest. Every morning started with a peaceful breakfast overlooking the lake, and every evening ended with a sunset that looked like something from a painting. I spent my days swimming, walking along the shore, hiking nearby trails, and simply enjoying the stillness. This place gave me exactly what I needed: space to breathe, think, and just be. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you — the kind that changes you a little. If you're considering a solo trip and need beauty, serenity, and a true escape — look no further. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Stadtvilla Schladming Boutiquehotel is set in a quiet side street in the centre of Schladming. There is an on-site spa area with a sauna, infrared cabin and a relaxation lounge. We really enjoyed our one-night stay at this great hotel, so much so that when we were in Schladming again two nights later we booked again. The rooms, while a bit small, are clean and comfortable and have everything you need for a short stay. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially Barbara. When we left our sunglasses behind in the room she called and emailed us to let us know so we could retrieve them. We can't recommend this hotel enough!

This 4-star-superior hotel in the centre of Schladming, just 450 metres from the Planai Cable Car, offers a 1,500 m² spa area, a restaurant, and free WiFi. We had a fantastic stay at Falkensteiner in Schladming. The hotel looks even better in person than in the photos. The wellness area is amazing, and the food with our half board exceeded all expectations. Really amazing breakfast selection! Every staff member was extremely polite and helpful. A special highlight was the Herbstcard, which gave us free access to the cable car and several local attractions. Highly recommended!

The Heilthermen Resort Bad Waltersdorf is located in the Thermen- & Vulkanland in the East Styrian hill country, Eastern Styria’s hill country, 60 km from Graz. The property gave us a free room upgrade to a suite, which was amazing; beautiful modern room with a huge deck. the hotel-only spa area was amazing and very peaceful.

It was a taste of vacation even though I was there for business. The balcony in the room was amazingly big! And the view of the lake was great! The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly!
