Nice hotel and restaurant in an old brewery. They still make the beer, in the next building. You can taste the beer and very good food in the restaurant.

The Altstadt-Hotel Passau lies in Passau’s historic Old Town, just 700 metres from St. Stephan’s Cathedral. It provides modern rooms, free WiFi internet access and a daily breakfast buffet. Our room overlooked the river, had a wonderful view, the evening and early morning reflections in the river were beautiful. The room was large with 2 occasional chairs, the beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was large, it could maybe have a few more pegs/ towel rails for towels to hang. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were all delicious.
