Very cozy house to spend an amazing island vacation with a family. We especially enjoyed playing the piano and the care the owner took of us.

Amami 星空テラス fica a 2 km de Higashi Beach, e oferece um restaurante, acomodações com ar-condicionado, varanda e Wi-Fi grátis. The place accommodates only one group of guests which was excellent for our family with two active boys. It is spacious for a family of four (easily a couple more), spotless clean, new, great location by the beach, nice view, big balcony, washer and dryer downstairs, and last but not least friendly and super helpful staff. Its first floor is their cafe and tour desk. We had breakfast a couple times which was great. We also took their sea turtle snorkeling tour and the guide was very attentive to us beginners and had a wonderful time swimming with a sea turtle.

MEEDAFU'S YUI HOSTEL and COFFEE oferece acomodação com jardim, estacionamento privativo grátis e restaurante em Yoron. Chabana Beach fica a poucos passos de distância. This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at! Run by the sweetest couple and their children, they really make you feel like family. It was always so clean and the cafe on the first floor was delicious. Kabuki is the best host ever, who will take you out on the best adventures and get great footage on his drone. I can’t wait to come back!!

Fantastic room, very spacious, had private onsen. Hotel gave out snacks and ramen, had it own store as well (closest konbini isn't t that far but you need a car to go there).

This is a beautiful home that is much more traditional than anywhere else I managed to stay in my month-long trip in Japan. It was spacious and well maintained. It also comes with its own kitchen and fridge if you do want to cook your own food. Though we had trouble communicating in both Japanese (I am far from fluent) and English, we made it through in the end :P.

Very nice and friendly staff. Very pretty design and very comfortable room. "Familie" welcome, with indoor play area for kids, but also nice bar for drinks and dinner. I highly recommend this place, with family or without family.

O Tashiro Annex oferece quartos japoneses com ar-condicionado, banheiro privativo e vista para o rio ou a floresta. Foi o hotel mais giro e genuíno da nossa viagem ao Japão. É um hotel antigo, tradicional, com muitos hóspedes japoneses. Adorei todos os pormenores, nada parece ser para agradar ao turista, mas sim um hotel prático, para quem vai a Yakushima fazer trilhos nas montanhas. Tem uma loja onde podemos alugar tudo o que for preciso para esses passeios, desde botas, impermeáveis, mochilas ou bastões e uns banhos públicos em tamanho pequeno mas que sabem mesmo bem depois de um dia cansativo. Ao chegar percebi que o calçado que levava não era adequado e aluguei uns sapatos de caminhada, impermeáveis, que estavam impecavelmente limpos. O quarto era sossegado, de tatami, cheio de charme, com imenso espaço e até uma varanda sobre o rio. Ao final da tarde, vinha um senhor amoroso montar os futons, onde dormimos muito confortavelmente. Todos os funcionários eram de alguma idade, extra simpáticos, embora quase ninguém falasse inglês.
