Quiet neighbourhood and within easy reach of de Veluwe or Hattem and beyond. Unit has a separate gated entrance with a small patio with table, chairs and umbrella (which we did not use due to increment weather). Room was spacious with a dining table and 4 chairs, 2 easy chairs, a kitchen with oven, stove, fridge and a dishwasher; double bed was in the room as well. Bathroom with a nice shower. Everything very clean and practical. Breakfast (worth the extra charge) was just excellent. We had breakfast for 2 days, and each day it was different. Lots of fruit & vegetables, bread and a croissant, and a warm boiled egg or scrambled eggs, etc. Freshly squeezed fruit juice. Cheese and ham. There is a Nespresso machine with coffee in the room. And, most importantly, the hosts were very nice and attentive.

A large patio to sit and read out in the fresh air, or cosy up on the sofa with a blanket if it’s chilly outside. It had all the things needed to enjoy the stay, a home away from home.

The 5-star Hotel Restaurant de Echoput is located in the middle of the royal forest of Paleis het Loo. First, the facility was so comfortable and casually elegant . The staff was amazing and very attentive. The restaurant was off the charts. Had both breakfast and dinner there both days we were there.

Kasteel Engelenburg is situated on a gorgeous property. The building has been lovingly maintained and is just beautiful. The staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful. I enjoyed all my meals here (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) - everything is elegantly presented and delicious. I wasn't at Engelenburg to play golf, but I could still admire the grounds with a walk around the property. Furthermore, there are bikes for guests (regular bikes are free, e-bikes can be rented for a small fee) and immediate access to bike paths to explore the region. I can't recommend them highly enough!
