Fantastic cooking area (5 dishwashers, 5 stoves/ovens, 2 full grills outside, incredibly well stocked with cookware, large refrigerators, freezers, tables, toasters, water cookers, everything imaginable) and comfortable group room. Our room was large with its own kitchenette and shower was wonderful. This is the place to stay if you like to cook and hang out especially for large groups. Looks brand new. Very clean. Quiet. Good air conditioning. Free parking onsite. Good WiFi. Host let us check in early and was very friendly throughout our stay. The price was right!

Just 250 metres from Lake Wakatipu, Alexis Motel & Apartments features a large shared patio offering views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountains. Superb location with stunning views of Lake Whakatipu from the living room & the balcony. We got the highest floor unit Room 16 which enhanced the view. Ample sheltered parking at the base of the motel. Staff were friendly & informative. Rooms were modern & clean & toilet was super up to date. Heating was more than sufficient. The property was just off the main road but my fears about road noise were unfounded. We stayed 4 nights in Queenstown with 2 whole days washed out by continuous rain & snow but this motel had a full repertoire of wifi & cable tv so it was still great.
