The hotel was better in person vs online. It exceeded our expectations! The vintage building has been upgraded without losing it's charm. The wood floors are beautiful preserved and they creak in that way the says you're home. The weather was cold and raining when we arrived but the room was toasty and welcoming like a warm cozy winter's night. The cleaning staff was warm, friendly and happy; singing contentedly while working. I love when employees are happy and enjoy their jobs. It makes for a wonderful atmosphere. It felt good, if that makes sense. We had breakfast included with our reservation. There was a wide selection of breakfast items: a variety of breads, fruit and juices, hot food like eggs, bacon, sausage, fried mushrooms, yogurt, granola, more condiments than you need but are appreciated, and hot coffee and a hot coffee station for special selections like cappuccino. The staff here went above and beyond to make sure we had a hot breakfast when we arrived late on our first morning. Every morning after that was the same amazing service and happy disposition. We were impressed with everyone that we encountered during our visit, from reception to housekeeping. Great job Avenida

This 5-star hotel is situated in a historic palace. Quinta das Lágrimas offers 3 room types: Palace Rooms once accommodated the Duke of Wellington and Garden Rooms overlook the botanical garden. It was very luxurious. Staff were all so friendly and so helpful and accommodating. We had a beautiful room , bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the outdoor pool and the breakfast was delicious

The host Michelle and Cristina were amazing. They took care of every detail. we even extended our stay another 2 days. We would do day trips to all the towns in the area. We hated to have to leave, it felt like home. The property is impeccable.

Beautiful B&B located 10 minutes by car from Obidos in quaint, charming, and quiet village with views overlooking the lagoon from rooftop terrace. Architecture/interior design/landscaping lovely - has a "boutique" lodging kind of feel. Hosts gracious, friendly, and helpful with restaurant recommendations and free parking location in Obidos and lagoon beach. Double bed very comfortable. Breakfast included the most delicious oranges I ever ate from trees right on property! Easy, free parking right outside on street. Highly recommend, would stay again.

We also enjoyed the terrace to have dinner outdoors at the end of a summer day. The pool was also great, including the view of the landscape from the water.
