I booked this property based on a review written by a family similar to ours. And the open air bathroom. We are a family of 4 with a 5 yr old girl and 2 year old boy. We rented the large family suite and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Less then 5 mins from the beach, large comfortable double beds with mosquito nets, a shared kitchenette, large comfortable bathroom with hot water and AC. The owners were such lovely accommodating people. The best part was the location. Hiritekiya is an Instagramy digital nomady hotspot, and Jungle Escape is located in the less developed part of the beach. So we were close to everything but in a more tranquil environment.

We had the most amazing stay. Rumesh has lovingly, by his own hands renovated the 4 rooms beautifully. Massive comfy bed, fantastic wet room/bathroom. No real hot water but that was no issue. No air-con but the ceiling fans are really effective so was no issue at all. We were even allowed into to the family kitchen for a Sri Lankan cooking lesson

Everything was so great at Salt. The staff, especially Charlie and Shanka were the kindest and most helpful people and Charlie‘s 7am vinyasa classes are a true energy boost in the morning. The breakfast menu only has 4 dishes but those four dishes are delicious and you can eat them every day without getting bored. Hiriketiya hay was beautiful even in the rainy season, though we unfortunately only got 2 sunny days and lots of rain otherwise (obviously to be expected during monsoon). We will definitely be back!

The Location was perfect. The room was absolutely clean and nice. I loved the style and selfmade furniture. Very modern/ clean and comfortable. Our host was super friendly. Breakfast was always delicious.

I was made to feel very welcome. The beach is two minutes away, and some good restaurants too. Bed super comfy and fluffy towels!! I highly recommend the Jungle Nook.

Location is close to blue beach, it's in a lovely local area full of very friendly people. It is a 25 minute walk to hiriketiya town, so if you're looking to be close to town it's probably not for you. However almost every time I walked into town, a local charitable person gave me a lift. If you have a scooter it's no issue. Staff are lovely and friendly, they also do massage there.
