Originally a Capuchin monastery dating from the 17th century, Kloster Dornach is only 50 metres from Dornach-Arlesheim Train Station and 12 km from Basel. Th staff corresponded with me throughout the reservation and even to see if I had arrived. The room was spacious and faced the back garden and restaurant. It was quiet and peaceful. Wonderful light from large windows and a curious curated selection of art and objects as part of a Curatorial series. Mine was the Literarium" curated by Sandra Lowe. Pretty cool idea. Elevator made it easy with luggage. Directly across the street from the station (train/tram) but it quiet because Swiss engineering. In-House restaurant is great - ate in the Garden. Kind waitstaff. Its a chill vibe.
