The location is near the center of the city and we could walk everywhere. Room was clean and comfy. I did not try the breakdast as we had only one day there and we chose to have our breakfast somewhere else in the center during our last walk there.

Absolutely superb breakfast service (11/10)! Newly renovated from the ground up. WiFi works fine. Supermarket just across the street. Perfect location for a lot of hiking. Easily reachable by car as well as public transport. Despite this being an active railway station, the trains didn't bother me sound wise. With the windows closed, sound isolation was extremely good, and even sleeping with the window open was OK (I will add that my room was on the street side of the building, however).

The guest house has private entrance. It was in a beautiful location and was comfortable and well appointed. The hosts were very welcoming and breakfast was much appreciated.

Breakfast was the typical German breakfast but she included some pastry. She managed with our limited German.

Fine hotel with good food and brekky, right on the Rennsteig - we were hiking that one. Really all very positive so I can be short! Nice hosts too!
