However, I didn't realise it was a homestay..you are renting a room inside of a family's house, which means the communal areas feels claustrophobic and loud unlike other hostels. So considering that, it's quite over priced for what it is. However there are some pros- it's secure, filtered water is available, the family is friendly and helpful and there is air-conditioning. But in terms of ambience and space, It's not the most comfortable. Location is also far from the main areas in ayampe. I'd rate it well for practicality but low for a relaxing stay, purely because you're staying in an extended family's house and you can hear loud conversations and phone sounds from your bedroom.
