There is so much to like about M2 Homestay....Jun,the owner,speaks very good English and is very helpful.Within minutes of my arrival he had organised a car and driver to take me to Parapat,the next place I wanted to visit....The room was super clean and sleep quality was excellent.The bathroom had plenty of hot water and the shower was excellent...The staff were super friendly-even Jun's son Mikail who is only twelve and yet has perfect English....The location was ideal-a short walk to an excellent restaurant and close to the centre of Berastagi...I am happy to give this place top marks...10 out of 10...Worth returning to.

I have found my go-to stay on the Samosir island. This place is clean, has amazing view of the Lake Toba, has durians, has cute cats, is quiet, has air conditioner, has comfortable bed, at an authentic and strategic location to explore north and south of Samosir island, and is walking distance to restaurants and local foods. And rest assured that Dimmer (the host) will take care of you and make arrangements for you - Truly the best homestay I have ever stayed at in a very beautiful place.

Situated in Tuapejat in the Sumatra region, Villa Tala features a garden. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the homestay free of charge. Super cozy! Stayed in the Deluxe Sea View room and waking up to that stunning blue ocean, unreal. Honestly felt like I could live there forever. The staff were amazing, especially Kak Rinaa! Super friendly, super helpful, and always there when you need something. Oh, and the food? So good. Total comfort, inside and out. The downside? Hmm... probably just one: it’s *way* too hard to leave.

Boasting a garden and views of city, Evergreen Lodge is a recently renovated homestay set in Padang, 2.3 km from Samudra Beach. The staff is exceptional awesome, super friendly, helpful and heartwarming. I feld very welcome. The place has an awesome vibe, a great lobby, a superb balcony, good showers and great food.

Beautiful property, great to hang out at, and not in the tourist area. You can get the feel of a local neighborhood. The rooms are clean and spacious.

Amazing room, big, clean, spaceous bathroom, well maintained. Great view, good fresh breakfast. Owner amazingly helpful, even ensured my safe shared car travel and checked back with me.

JUNGLE LIFE GUEST HOUSE - Trekking & Transport Only Book With Us is set in Bukit Lawang and has a pool with a view and river views. Everything was wonderful. The location overlooking the river from your balcony is amazing. The room is basic but for the prize it is fantastic value. Apart from the fantastic view you get a super comfy bed, a big mosqito net (without holes :-), a bathroom and toilet (cold water), a fan and WIFI in the room - which I was not expecting. But above all Alex and his family are exellent hosts and you feel very velcome. Alex arranged transport for me to and from Bukit Lawang. I would really recommend this transport (shared tourist taxi) and of course the main thing: Alex arranged a two day trek for me. It vas amazing with lots of wild life including orangutans.

I liked the location, and the social area. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the resteraunt acroos from the hotel made delicious food!
