Hostels in Minca

I loved everything about my stay. It’s super well organized, they don’t try to rip you off, the food is excellent, the bar is great, the staff is super friendly, the pool is amazing. Highly recommended!

I would summarize my stay as follows: Minkanta was a place where the hostel had super comfortable double beds and hot showers, which pleasantly surprised me, but that's not where my adventure ended. I stayed on a Saturday, and the bar at night was incredible, with great music, a bonfire, amazing cocktails, and people from all over the world enjoying themselves in one place. The prices are affordable, they had a cocktail happy hour all night long, and not to mention the delicious food. Highly recommended if you want a place to make friends and have a few good shots. This is the place.

I stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful stay. The bed is super comfy, the bathroom is huge with great water pressure, and the private balcony is so peaceful and lets fresh air into the room with mosquito net or can be completely closed. There are also fans that work great. Regarding the owner, Romaric, he obviously works hard on this property, and I found him to be super helpful, and one of his knowledgeable friends (the Irish man) helped me plan a hike because I was looking for something a bit longer and challenging. This place is literally ON a mountain side, IN lush greenery, everything is natural/made with wood or fibre, and the price is so reasonable... what more can people ask for?

The location was perfect, slight out of Minca town but only a 9 minute walk, it was so much more idyllic than staying in the town. The owners and everybody working there are lovely and cannot do enough for you.

The view and Lady who owned the hostel were amazing. So relaxing and peaceful we loved the stay! Worth the trek up there. The hostel is only 6 months old so things are new. The lady was so helpful with everything we needed and speaks 3 languages

Helena and the other staff were so nice, it was a real pleasure! Bathroom, dorm and other services on a high standard! The view from the porch was one of the most amazing of my life. The wildlife in the area is really exciting, although you have to walk a little to enter more remote areas.

Wow the view is incredible, the service is so nice, you can order your food for a delivery. The mirador is fantastic, they offered to go to the second hostel down the hill to refresh in the river. Calm, just the sounds of the birds.

Beautiful setting amongst the trees, lovely clean rooms and very well equipped kitchen. Lovely terrace with hammocks. The location is fantastic, right next to the river and a couple of minutes walk to the town (but just far away enough that you can’t hear the bars).

Booked 3 nights at Casa Maracuya, ended up staying for 6 nights and I never wanted to leave. This hostel is absolutely perfect for so many reasons. It’s a 5 minute walk to town, but at the hostel you feel like you’re really in the middle of nature. It’s so peaceful, quiet and beautiful, with the river and sunset viewpoint being right there too, an added bonus. It’s got a great kitchen, the rooms and common areas are cleaned daily, and there’s a filtered/drinking water tap. I loved staying here, and will definitely be back!

The peace and tranquility you feel immediately as you step onto the terrace at the reception and also when you enter the room. There is a very pleasant atmosphere, which is naturally created by the nature and jungle you have a direct view of, but certainly also by Pierre and his team. The room is very spacious, clean, nicely decorated and with the sliding doors open, you feel like you are part of nature. The hummingbird literally rushes past your ears, and the ‘sounds’ of the jungle as soon as the sun sets are actually the only sound you hear. Right in the middle of nature and yet within walking distance of Minca. The location is therefore truly perfect! Everything is very lovely taken care of, even some facilities for making coffee, tea, or using a fridge. Pierre is very helpful, attentive, very quick to answer messages, and is happy to help you with all kinds of recommendations for tours or things to do and discover in the area.
