Chalo Eco Hostel

Jaipur

Chalo Eco Hostel offers accommodation in the old town of Jaipur.

Hawa Mahal and City Palace are 1.7 km from Chalo Eco Hostel, while Jantar Mantar, Jaipur is 1.5 km from the property. Jaipur International Airport is 10 km and the Railway Station 6 km away. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff who went out of their way to help us see Jaipur, including a night walk around the neighborhood. Great value for money, very clean. The rooftop is beautiful and a great place to hang out, relax and meet travellers. Filling breakfast in the morning. It enriched our experience of Jaipur to stay with people who have lived in the area for generations and are incredibly knowledgeable and excited to share the city with visitors. As Nadim, the hostel manager, likes to say, "don't make plans for India, India already has plans for you." We would give this hostel 11/10 stars if we could.

Hostels – what are they?

Hostels offer so much more than a cheap place to stay – they're also a fun way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens and game rooms give you the chance to swap tips, tricks, and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long way since the first youth hostel opened back in 1912. Nowadays there's something for everyone, from budget "crash pads" to 5-star "poshtels." Whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll see that most hostels are cheaper than local hotels – and a lot more fun, too!
