Located in the centre Alkmaar with the well-known cheese market around the corner, Kings Inn City Hostel offers free Wi-Fi access in all public areas. The main shopping street is within a short walking distance. Guests can rent bicycles at this accommodation and make use of the bike/scooter shed.

Each room, including the dormitories, comes with a bathroom that is fitted with a shower and toilet. Kings Inn has a hotel section and a hostel section.

I absolutely loved it. Everything about my stay was enjoyable - my favourite place I stayed in the Netherlands! The location was so close to the center and just a stone’s away from the cheese market (the reason I went to Alkmaar), the room was private and super clean, and the staff was all friendliness and welcoming. I loved being able to sit in the middle of the hotel and get to know other guests as well!

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Location is great and staff is very friendly. The price was great and obviously I didn't expect too much from a cheap bed in a 4-bed dormitory, however there were a few things that could definitely use improvement. I've seen much better hostels in a similar price range.

Very large bed which was comfortable.. Fan was provided for cold air which was needed. Staff were accommodating when asking for a snack from reception after the cafe area closed, allowing us to pay the morning after. Housecleaning staff offer a small treat for those who don't want their room cleaned. The hostel was in a very nice area. Felt quite safe walking around at night. Lots of stuff around the hostel to do and the train station was a 10 minute walk.
