Situated in Purmerend and with A'DAM Lookout reachable within 17 km, City Trip Hostels Amsterdam-Purmerend features concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. The property is around 18 km from Rembrandt House, 18 km from Artis Zoo and 19 km from Dam Square. The accommodation provides a tour desk and luggage storage space for guests.

Mini but cosy; mattresses are light and comfortable, bedding too. Fresh linnen out of plastic bag is such a kind way to let the guests know that they actually care about the hygiene of the hostel. Which is rarely happens even in hotels around Amsterdam. The hostel is mostly quiet on the weekdays less people in the rooms, the weekends of course are more noisy and stuffed. I loved the POD; the curtains and the structure of the mini 6 square meters “room” made some privacy. Most importantly every each POD has lights and plugs for the devices. The breakfast for 7 euros is actually very charming, the price is reasonable and so less, even in supermarkets we must pay more and it is in a nice restaurant 3 minutes walking far from the hostel. The shower on the second floor is the perfect way for privacy. Toilets are lacking by the numbers, for each gender there’s only one on every floor, however I never had to stand in lines. I either went down or up a floor. Some people lives here due to the housing crisis and when backpacker tourists come to visit they must be aware of that. For noise cancellation I would recommend to use earplugs. Overall the hostel is good, well maintained and in an accessible location; last bus from Amsterdam leaves around 1:00.

It's a great value for the money. The rooms were clean and the staff was amazing, very nice and super friendly. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. Good location, nearby the bus stop and a walking distance from the train station.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
