The hospitality and kindness of the staff makes you feel at home right away. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. It's like finding a little special oasis. Anthony went beyond all our expectations to make us feel like home and help us organize our safari and Mt. Meru trip. The Serengeti villa is gorgeous too!

Savannah House was a welcoming and calm place to spend our first night in Tanzania! The room was very clean and comfortable and outside area was beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy. The staff were very kind, genuine and accommodating and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. They lit a fire in the fireplace and cooked a delicious, authentic dinner and breakfast!

We had an amazing experience at this hotel from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious — every meal felt like it was prepared with great care and fresh ingredients, offering local flavors. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. One of the biggest highlights was how well they arranged all the transportation for our tours and airport pickups/drop-offs. After a long day out, it was great to come back to such a quiet and comfortable place to rest. I'll definitely be back! Asante sana!

- very friendly staff, let us check in early and kept our luggage when we went on safari - nice breakfast prepared for us each morning - location is good, there's options for cheap local food around and you can reach the inner city in around 30min walking - generally a quiet area - monkeys sometimes visit the property and chill in the inner yard, which is nice to watch

Ligia and Joshua were wonderful hosts. It was like staying with friends. The house was clean; bedroom spacious and comfortable; breakfast of fresh fruits, toast with fresh tomatoes, hard boiled eggs and onions was good; great pets - two lovely African village dogs, Kes and Kira; within 1 km of downtown Arusha. I would be glad to stay here again.

This property is fantastic for backpackers, budget travellers, woofers and those looking for an environmental stay. The banana and coffee plantation surround the rooms giving wonderful views. Rooms are basic and clean, with eco-generated hot water and electricity. The tour around the property was reasonably interesting. For the price you pay, you can't go wrong.
