Located in the middle of Interlaken, both stations were about a 10 minute walk away. The hostel also gave us cards for free bus trips around a interlaken in case we didn’t want to walk. The rooms and bathrooms were really clean. Our room was mixed gendered and had 3 bunk beds (so 6 people in total). There are washing machines and a fully equipped kitchen on the basement, so you can cook yourself if you want to save a couple francs

Was working in Interlacken 30 years ago in Jungfrau Hotel and was so excited to come stay here as always had a great vibe about it and thrilled to see, 30 years later, same owner , who I met again and his daughter. Sorry to hear the other partner passed, RIP Pete , you’ve left the place in great hands.

Perfect location, very close to the public transport and railway station. Comfortable rooms, breakfast was included and I was surprised about it. Everything was very clean and cleaning ladies always smiled and were very polite and friendly, as well as staff in the reception area. I will definitely come back here next time and recommend friends.

Come to Balmers and stay in the oldest private hostel in Switzerland! Our hostel is situated in three traditional Swiss wooden chalets that surround a courtyard, terrace and garden. Litterally the best hostel I’ve stayed in, and I’ve stayed in quite a few, super super friendly so easy to make friends, fab common areas and each night they have a a movie night, bbq, etc so always something to do, really big kitchen with everything you could need, super clean safe and had such a cute and cosy vibe, felt like I was in my own living room! X can’t wait to visit again x
