Very friendly and helpful staff and clear instructions about what was wanted in the morning. The breakfast was great and it was spotless. Also close to night life and cafes. Wonderful place to stay.

Our meals were delicious and the chef took Into account for 2 of our children’s food allergies. The location and views were amazing. Our children (ages 4,9 and 11) all loved the playgrounds and treasure hunt hike up the mountain. This was a very family friendly lodge and we hope to visit again! Everyone who works here is friendly and compassionate.

I booked a single room here at a price I was really happy with — and it turned out to be such a lovely stay! When I arrived, the owner had even placed a little Swiss candy on the towel, which was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. The room itself was small but cozy, with everything I needed: a space to hang my clothes and a large drawer that could store so many things — I loved it! It helped me keep everything tidy and easy to access during my stay. The shared bathroom was always clean and had a pleasant wooden scent. It was rarely crowded, so I could use it comfortably at any time. The fridge is on the ground floor and, if I remember correctly, available between 15:30 and 21:30. I didn’t notice that at first and tried to use it in the morning — but the owner was super kind and immediately opened the door for me without hesitation. Breakfast was also delicious and surprisingly varied. My favorite part is the little colorful peppers and cucumbers — I had never tasted anything like them before, and they were absolutely amazing! I only tried them on my last day, and honestly, I wish I had sooner. Every day I spent here was warm and happy. I really recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and homely stay. Oh, and fun fact: I even ran into the lady owner while hiking in Männlichen — lovely coincidence!

Boasting a bar and views of mountain, Schutzenbach Backpackers For Adults 18-34 years only is situated in Lauterbrunnen, 16 km from Grindelwald Terminal. I spend 3 nights in the Hostel and had amazings and completely different evenings each day, i got one bed in the shared room and it was full booked but everyone was respectful and tried their best to be quiet in the early morning and past midnight as well! The vibes are immaculate, all the staff is super kind and helpful. The hole idea of the hostel is to have a break, to share a good time and to know people while you are adventuring, exploring, learning. I think that’s why most of us left so happy and in peace at the same time. The beds are comfortable, they’ll provide a towel and a locker and there’re enough plugs for everyone. The kitchen has microwaves, water heater and two fridges to store your food and the supermarket is close, like a 10 min walk or two stops if you use the bus, which is right next to the reception. I’m so glad i choose this Hostel and hope i’ll come back
