The staff is very good and helpful, the common room is large, stylish and comfortable with different sitting options. I had a great hotpot diner organized by the staff. Rooms were comfy and quiet, separate showers and bathroom very clean. The hotel is located downhill of a very nice and interesting part of the city, just before the district with old houses and lots of shops/cafes. Everyone was friendly when we were playing with the cats and met some other people. The property is directly outside exit 3 of the metro so super convenient (had to input “Crown Mansion” on AMap to find it). The metro line it was on also had most of the touristy hotspots in Chongqing along it making it super easy to get around. Loved the concept of the room - Tatami movie room

It is Not trying to be everything to everyone. Its stated aim is to offer the basics to travellers and some Chinese workers and students at a low cost. The little sleeping pods are great with their own power sockets and light plus the privacy curtain. The showers and bathroom areas are good and clean and the common room is very large with huge opening windows. The logistics to navigate around Chongching might be a bit of an issue for some people. But if you take your time and use key orientation points and the metro then anyone should be fine. All the staff at the hostel offered a contact telephone number just in case you got totally lost and disoriented and there's always Didi taxis to fall back on. Do Not expect anything flashy. It does the very basics very well. The hostel is very laid back, it has good security, free large lockers and cold 660ml beers for 6¥ I have travelled for over 40 years and stayed in many many hostels and I would recommend this place to Any real traveller who wants to keep their costs low. The location is Superb and there are many local family ran food businesses and supermarkets all over the area. Approx a 12-15 min walk to the centre of time square.
