Joe, Ellen, Bob, and the rest of the staff and volunteers were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond—helping me plan my itinerary, organizing group dinners, and even inviting everyone out to the local bar. The social atmosphere made it super easy to meet other travelers and create genuine connections. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, this place feels like home. Without a doubt, one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommended!

Situated in Yangshuo and with Yangshuo South Bus Station reachable within 26 km, Pomelo Hostel Xingping features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. I stayed for just one night but I would have liked to stay longer! The room is big and the beds are comfy, the bathroom was clean and with free shampoo and shower gel The staff was nice and, with good English and they even gave us a free ice lollipop because of the festivities :)

Hi Grey Hostel Xingping has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Yangshuo. Even though we only stayed 1 night before continuing to Yangshuo we absolutely loved our stay at Hi Grey Hostel. What stood out to us most was the super friendly owner who didn’t speak English but was always smiling and eager to help. Apparently I had accidentally booked 2 male dorm beds even though we were 1 male one female. the girls dorm was full so the owner upgraded us to a double room. Everything is clean and comfortable and the location is central. We’d come back for sure!
