Amazing family who runs the hotel. Great for both solo travel (me this trip) and party of 2+. The younger matriarch is so kind and her English is great. The older matriarch was lovely too, she made great breakfast for me all 4 days I stayed. The patriarch was so helpful, from recommending my friend who I just met and I, and showing us what sites to go to and how to navigate around Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The place is 30 minute walk and 7 min drive from the park's east gate entrance. I love how he strike conversations with everyone–we used translate to have a Chinese-English conversation and got to know more about him. He smiles every time you enter. The people who stay at this hotel are so kind as well. First night here I got to have a family style meal for the first time in China. Will definitely book again when I go back to Wulingyuan with my friends/family.

Only a 5-minute walk from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Destination Youth Hostel-Walk 5 minutes to east entrance of national park,Coffee,Book tickets,Laundry service,Experienced tour guide service... Absolutely loved our stay. Was in a very convenient location - 5 min walk from the West Gate and just a min walk to the daily evening street food market. Ralph and his family were terrific. Gave great tips on where to go and routes to take.

During my entire stay in China, I think it was at this hostel where everything is 5-star, the people were extremely kind to me, they offered me water every time I arrived and they made you feel at home, the reception was very warm and I will definitely come back and stay here again.
