I loved staying at hicozy, the staff were super nice and helpful, the room was cosy and the communal areas were very nice to stay in as well. I was allowed to leave my suitcases in storage while exploring the city and charged my phone when collecting the suitcase even after checking out.

Το Shanghai Desti Youth Hostel - Jing 'an Temple, Changping Road βρίσκεται σε Σαγκάη, σε απόσταση 1,2 χλμ από Jade Buddha Temple. The rooms are very comfortable, bed has a lot of space and smart organization (chargers, light, storage). The showers are great and plentiful. The rooms are heated and were even too hot for me, because I was o the top bed, near the heater. The staff was great, especially Amemo, Heidi, Maria and the guy I forgot the name. Shanghai was my first stop in China so I was quite lost and had lots of questions. The staff was always there to help and if it weren’t for them, I would have slept hungry multiple times haha. Thanks guys.

I stayed at a Dengba hostel near Guilin Park Metro Station in Shanghai, and the location was really convenient. It’s about a 7–8 minute walk from the station, which is on Lines 9, 12, and 15, so getting to Xujiahui, People’s Square, and other places was smooth. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so I didn’t have to go far for meals or supplies. The staff were professional and friendly. I arrived a bit early, and they helped me store my luggage and patiently answered my questions about transportation and the area. Check-in and check-out were quick, and they responded promptly when I needed help. The room was clean and tidy; overall, it was a hassle-free stay with good value.

Great stay. Met other travellers. Nice bonus by giving drink vouchers. Ended up extending my stay for another 1 night.

The staff was very good. The room was modern, clean and light. Check in was 3 hours earlier than it should be. Also they allowed us to keep our baggage after we checked out till the evening without extra charge. On the first floor there are 3 china cafes. The cat was cute.

More of a boarding house than an inn, or hostel. As others have said, there are quite a few people living there. Not the best atmosphere for tourists, but didn’t bother me. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, but toilet and shower areas are pretty rough. Fair price and decent location.
