Theres only been 2 stand out hotels we’ve stayed at in the last few years, The Rosewood in HKG (#1 hotel in the world) and the DAP in Turpan (just as enjoyable an experience!) We wanted an authentic Uighur experience heading out to Turpan (something like the bleak Holiday Inn was absolutely not going to set the scene!) From communications with the wonderful host Tang, who ensured all our needs were met, to the most darling Golden Retriever who greets you at the door with tail wagging. The common areas are just so quaint and well appointed (and Tang makes a wonderful Cappuccino which is a nice little luxury to start the day!) The room was perfect for a small family. We had the 2 bedroom suite which was clean, quiet, comfortable, warm and also had her designer touch! Tang offered to arrange us a driver for the day who was fantastic (and let me mention saved us $4500HKD from organising ourselves online!). We were also directed to some local little restaurants, and whilst we had to point and guess at the menu a little, it was such a fabulous little area to be in, and a great change of pace for our boisterous 4 year old! Thanks for a great stay. We can’t wait to come back.
