The hostel was a true escape into paradise, like a Colombian Tomorrowland. With the company of Maya and Simba, the cats, I felt as if I were in heaven. Lying in a hammock during the most beautiful sunset, I simply couldn’t bring myself to leave and decided to extend my stay for another night. The host was also amazing, he gave us great recommendations on what to see, where to go and feel like a local, specially helping us renting the motorbike and explore San Agustin. I deeply recommend this place; it was one of the best attractions in San Agustin for me and my friends.

You can really see it's a hostel made by backpackers - it's all a backpacker can dream of: clean, so many places to hang your stuff!!! All types of hammocks and a beautiful sunset spot. Decoration is lovely, too. We loved it here and stayed "ona noche mas" for a week...

The hostel is in a great location close to the main square of Villavieja. Everything necessary is very close. The rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. Also there is a nice patio which is great to to relax and spent some time in the hamacs. Also sandra, the landlady is very attentive and nice.

The owner doesn’t speak English but he’s super friendly and helps you with whatever you need. (With Google translate you come a long way.) We did our laundry there which was super cheap (I reckon only like 20k). The rooms were nice, big and clean and the hostel is like a 2 minute walk from the centre. You get a ‘good morning coffee’ every morning. :)

Loved this hostel. Sooooo nice. The owner is super friendly and they run the best day tour of the deserts 🌵 They are affordable and make sure everything is catered for. This really is the best hostel I’ve stayed at in Colombia and well priced, clean, friendly and quiet at night to sleep. Amazing

Hostal Bambú is one of the best hostels I've been to. I immediately felt at home here. It has a very cozy atmosphere and you easily get to know other travelers here. A big thank you to the wonderful staff! I would recommend this place 100% when you visit San Agustín.

Very nice family-owned hotel. Great location close to the red desert and comfortable room and garden. The chef makes a perfect breakfast, lunch and dinner and it's possible to book a ride to Neiva or Villavieja from where it's possible to take the bus. Not a backpackers vibe, but all guests were friendly and talkative, so did not feel lonely either. Felt very welcome and had a lovely stay!

A lovely hostel in a great location, hot showers, and comfy beds. The social areas are really nice, and it's super easy to find a group to go hiking, or attend a tour with. The staff who work there are friendly and provide great information. I ended up staying a lot longer than jntended as there was so much to do in San agustin.
