A charming 19th-century bed and breakfast, Heidi’s Grasmere Lodge offers luxury accommodation in the heart of the Lake District. It has free on-site parking.

Rooms at Heidi’s are individually decorated, warm and comfortable. They have beautiful views of the surrounding scenery. Awesome friendly staff and fabulous country surroundings. Lovely stay.

Guests share a kitchen for self-catering, and there is a lounge area and TV room to relax in. A hearty breakfast is served and this YHA hostel is licensed to serve alcohol. The majority of rooms contain bunk beds. Nice place and location Helpful staff

Surrounded by lovely greenery in the heart of vibrant Keswick centre, YHA Keswick is just a 10-minute walk from Lake Derwentwater. It features a restaurant and self-catering kitchen.

Wi-Fi access is available, along with luggage storage. The majority of rooms contain bunk beds. I was pleasantly surprised by this Hostel. Based on what I paid, it definitely exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect. The breakfast was superb. I wish I had booked a longer stay. I would definitely be back at this hostel in the future. They had the best hot chocolate ever!

Wayfarers Independent Hostel has private twin rooms with en suite facilities, as well as dormitories with bunk beds. All have lockers, bedside lights and bedding provided, with towels available for hire. One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in. Great location to visit/bus anywhere in the Lake District.

Some bedrooms have views across both the lake and the Langdale Pikes. This hostel offers private rooms with en-suite or allocated sole-use bathrooms.

Ambleside village is a 10-minute walk from the YHA hostel. It has a selection of quaint tea rooms, artisan shops and country pubs. Perfect facilities and very friendly staff, perfect location next to the lake and very close to the bus station and also the town center.

Located in the market town of Keswick in the heart of the Lake District National Park, Denton House is just a 5-minute stroll from Keswick Leisure Centre. With free WiFi and free parking, Keswick Museum and Art Gallery and Cumberland Pencil Museum are also less than a mile away.

The hostel is 1.1 miles from Derwentwater and the Theatre by the Lake. Go Ape Whinlatter Forest Park is 5.3 miles away. Great locations, 5 minute walk from town centre.

Situated in the Cumbrian countryside, conveniently located to visit the Lake District, YHA Helvellyn has on-site free parking and a bar. The nearest village, Glenridding, is a 6-minute drive from the hostel. Friendly welcoming smiling management and staff. Cleanliness and attention to hygiene. Great food and self catering kitchen facilities. Location couldn't be better. Will keep coming back

Nestled in the Cumbrian countryside in the Lake District National Park, The White Horse Inn and Bunkhouse offers dormitory rooms, free parking, free Wi-Fi in public areas and a pub restaurant.

Each dormitory room at The White Horse comes with a shared shower room and toilets. Bed linen (duvet, duvet cover, pillow case and bed sheet) are available at a surcharge and by prior arrangement and guests are advised to bring their own towels, as these are not provided. Great location and very comfortable. We were surprised at how lovely and dog friendly it was.

Derwentwater Independent Hostel is set within 17 acres of grounds, this Georgian mansion has a large waterfall and you can spot red squirrels in the grounds. Located in the Lake District National Park,150 metres from the shores of Derwent Water and Keswick’s town centre is 5 minutes’ drive away. Amazing location near the lake, really helpful staff, family friendly and lovely food!

The Beatrix Potter Gallery is located in nearby Hawkshead, and Lake Windermere is only a 10-minute drive from YHA Hawkshead. The lush greenery of Grizedale Forest is just outside the hostel, home to excellent mountain biking trails and a Go Ape! treetop adventure course. Loved it and so did the kids 😊 not normally a happy camper but the bell tents were awesome. Clean comfortable and great value.
