It is a spacious building, with showers for ladies only, with wide enough beds (with curtains, for privacy). There is a common room with TV and books, some games as well. The kitchen is well-equipped. Some people did cook. There is a fridge, too. The Minas Church and the bus stop are 1-2 minutes away, on foot. You can take the bus from the airport, and it drops you really near the accommodation. Then, the city centre is within walking distance. The bus can take you, conveniently, to Knossos and other places.

Matala Hostel features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in Matala.

This hostel was amazing! The staff were super friendly and helpful, always up for a chat and giving great recommendations. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with plenty of space. The common area was a great place to hang out and meet other travelers. I'd definitely stay here again!

I liked how it was a very good value for its price! Was the cheapest hostel I’ve seen in all of crete. Very clean, good people, good host. Definitely would recommend. The owner also dropped me off at the airport while he was going into town. So nice would definitely go back.

Rena is really nice. The place is big and spacious, the bathrooms are big enough to change. The kitchen is cute and bright. She put air conditioning in the room at night.
