Zen Moon is one of those places that stays in your memory long after you leave. The house itself is charming and full of character, with a small, peaceful garden with turtles and golden fishes. The room is small but simply magical. The bed, covered with a delicate mosquito net and soft batik sheets, made me feel like a princess every night. But the real highlight is the bathroom. It’s a pure zen oasis, open to the sky, surrounded by greenery, and so beautifully designed that taking a shower feels like bathing in the jungle. The location couldn’t be better, just a few steps from some of the nicest restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood. If you’re coming to Yogyakarta, don’t think twice; Zen Moon is a little paradise you’ll be grateful to have found.

I was really pleased with the dorms at ranasa. It is a smaller hostel but has all the facilities of a larger one, including a pool which was bliss in the evening to chill and read a book. The staff were very kind and helpful, and I met some nice people staying to get a beer with. People were quiet at night. Aircon in the dorm was great. Breakfast was delicious. Very good value for money.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The owner is super nice and friendly, and the staff were welcoming too. The AC worked perfectly and kept the room cool all night. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I’d happily recommend it to other travelers.

It's full of plants, hammocks, and everything else you need for a lax stay. Host Ardi and friends are always up for a good time and show travellers around. There are also easy links to tours and activities in Jogja. You're also provided ear plugs in case you're not used to the loud prayers, but I personally didn't find it an issue because they don't last very long and are quite soothing in fact.

Kotta Hostel is such a gem in Yogyakarta. The rooms and common areas are always spotless and comfortable. What makes this place special is the amazing staff , they’re so kind and welcoming, it feels like staying with friends. I definitely recommend this hostel if you want a clean, nice place with friendly people. Highly recommended!

I’ve been staying at Abrakadabra for a week and am planning to stay more. As a female solo traveler, I’ve felt like it’s my own place, having privacy and security. The host is very kind and speaks good English. He served good breakfast at the requested time and helped me book affordable tours in Jogja. The place is cozy, clean, and very close to the city center with lots of good restaurants and places to visit around. There’s a beautiful rooftop surrounded by plants which is great for having a coffee and chilling out. I could also use the kitchen to cook for myself. If you’re lucky, you’ll encounter other guests to hang out with :)
