Berunes is a historic, family-run farm by the Ring Road, 35 km from Djúpivogur, quietly set on a fjord between mountains and sea. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges. One of the best places we stayed in all Iceland. It’s right on the fjord with scenic views around and the accommodation itself is great! Very cosy and comfortable, with attention to detail, every room or house was special in its own way and provided everything you might need. We came for one night, but stayed for two as we didn’t want to leave. You can enjoy food from the restaurant on site or cook it in a shared kitchen. The staff and especially the owner very super nice, responsive and attentive. Highly recommend!

The harbour building is so cool and comfy, overlooking the harbour in this small town, made it a perfect place to stay the night! Will definitely recommend this hostel to any traveler!
