The location is near the train station. The city centre is nearby. It was possible to check in late in the evening. The apartment looked nice and contained everything for a good stay. The breakfast was amazing and contained healthy options, which is not common for hotels in Italy. The staff was friendly. We were allowed to fill our bottle with water from the cooler and were offered free drinks from the bar. The furniture in the hotel is new and very stylish. I would like to stay at this hotel again someday.

Davide and Emanuela are such wonderful hosts — warm, friendly, and full of energy. The location is absolutely incredible, surrounded by the stunning nature of the Trebbia Valley. I had the best wild swim I’ve ever experienced; the water was so refreshing and energising. As a musician and guitarist, I had a magical evening playing with Davide on his guitars while my mum chatted away with Emanuela using Google Translate. The next day Davide kindly pointed us up the hill to Brugnello — one of the most scenic spots I’ve ever witnessed, with a breathtaking panorama of the Trebbia Valley. The hostel is clean, creative, and so resourcefully set up — you can really feel the love that’s gone into it. We just wish we’d had another night there! I’d love to go back and see them again.

This place is great for solo travellers, couples and families, as they can accommodate all of these. Ideally placed two minutes from the train station, so if, like me, you couldn’t afford a bunk in Bologna, it’s a cost effective way to deal with this, as it’s only 15mins to Bologna on the train. The hostel seems brand-new, is very well set-up and Matteus and Mara took good care of me. Highly recommended.
