Great location, for us it was ideal, as we had a very early flight and public transport would have been an issue. We took a 10-15 min walk to the airport, really easy to get to the location. Also there is a bus station very close, you can go to the city centre really easily. The apartment was super clean, the hosts were great and very communicative, the checkin was super easy.

I should never have booked this place.

I should never have booked this place. The least you expect from your host is that they will have a minimum care about your well being. It is not the case of this property. One of the worse things that can happen to a traveller is to arrive late at night and exhausted to a foreign country and be left on the street without a place to sleep, particularly after having paid for it. My flight was delayed and I contacted the property asking for a late check in, as I would inevitably arrive late. Not only they were not understanding nor flexible, but they added that they would keep the money because it was non-refundable. I cannot say how comfortable this place would be if they had been kind enough to open the door to me after 19:30, but I can safely state that the owners are terrible hosts.

It's a rather remote, quiet town.

It's a rather remote, quiet town. Nothing to draw one to except quiet and near the Bologna airport. I ended up choosing to heat up a packaged curry/rice meal from the supermarket, as the only other choice (since I didm't have a car) was a pizzeria.

Great for my bad knees, mostly flat city made it easy to get around, bad for my feet though as it was easy to walk for hours. Very safe at anytime to walk around. I saw lots of girls and women walk around by themselves no problem and at all times during the day and night. One of the safest cities I've had the pleasure to visit in well over a decade. The old town vibe brought me back 30 years when you could walk around on your own just to explore. I was sad to leave as the week didn't don't justice, so much to see and trains and busses to take you to nearby towns and villages that were very close by. Up there in my top 5 places and I've been travelling all over for 40 years.

I like the area, green and pleasant, with nice places to have a coffee or a good meal. The river Reno, Park Talon and other spots are worth visiting. San Luca Sanctuary is right above the region, making Casalecchio di Reno ever more atractive.

Wonderful environment and very helpful and engaging staff. Franco especially along with the cook/cleaning staff were warm and very obliging. I strongly recommend a stay in the Italian countryside with Zola Predosa

Overall very nice position, in the middle of nature, few...

Overall very nice position, in the middle of nature, few minutes from "Le Piazze" mall, with good supermarket, shops, pizza, gelateria, and so on. Children can run safely in the park, play with Bruno and Olivia (the cat). Owner always available for a chat!

I was surprised with Bologna!

I was surprised with Bologna! Much more than expected, the streets are beautifull, so much history, great vibe, lively and not too turistic as other cities in Italy. Fruits and vegetables are amazing so, food was amazing too!

Honestly, I did not expect the city to be this great.

Honestly, I did not expect the city to be this great. We went to Bologna to be our base while we explore Northern Italy. We fell in love with the city so much we cancelled two daytrips to explore it further. The services are excellent, walking is very safe and easy: Bologna has these wide and beautiful sidewalks everywhere, you feel like the city was made for walking. Unlike Firenze for example where car traffic is prioritised and there's barely any room for walking. It feels like no matter where we sat down the bars and restaurants were honest and served superb quality foods. Haven't met a single vendor here who wanted to rip me off. You don't have to avoid the nice places with the best views either, the price difference is negligible. Every restaurant could serve us in English but not all had an English menu. Servers will help you if you cannot choose. Have the local red wines (Emilia Romagna region, sangiovese), you will not regret it. No need to plan around taxis and transport, just walk, the city inside the old walls is nice almost everywhere, you might find a nice spot to dine. If you're unsure, google reviews help a lot.
