The bed was comfortable and cubicle was spacious. Showers and bidet toilets were always clean. There were lots of thoughtful and free convenience items like a shoe dryer and extra hangers, irons, slacks presser, and cords/outlet converters in each cubicle. The staff were helpful, friendly, and responsive both in person and online.

The facility is superb, and owner is very nice and thoughtful, attractive to just everything, very responsive in replying messages too, with good English.

First things first: this is a welcoming place. I enjoyed my short time at Kotohira a lot and a huge reason for that was the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the guesthouse. The host (heart and soul of this traditional house in central location) is a bubbly and passionate traveller himself that has seen so many places in Japan and around the world. He is really interested in your own experiences while you travel in the region and he can give you a lot of recommendations. Even though this guest house is in the north of Shikoku, he provided me with travel and commuting advices for Hokkaido. And: I loved the traditional house in central but quiet location. My roomy female dormitory (for 2 people) was lovely decorated. It felt a bit like in a treasure museum. The bath facilities are modern and the kitchen is well equipped (free coffee). So, if you wanna stay in a friendly place where you can recharge travel energy and get freshly inspired, pick this guest house.

Sunny Day Hostel asub Takamatsus, 3,4 km kaugusel Asahi rohelisest pargist ja 5,8 km kaugusel Cormoranti pühamust. The host was really friendly and recommended us to many great places/restaurants. We arrived early for check in and he allowed us to keep our baggage so we can head out for our trip. We came back late for check in but he waited for us patiently and even moved our baggage to our rooms before we arrived so we had everything settled as soon as we checked in Very comfortable stay, will be back if I visit Takamatsu again! Location was just a few mins walk from public transportation and other attractions.

The location was not far from the shopping street, with around a 10 min walk. As a female solo traveller, I was worried about the hostel being located on a quiet street, but I ended up feeling safe in the area. The facilities are very clean and comfortable, and the staff (both the host and chef) are attentive and friendly. The chef played the guitar and sang for the guests other night which was lovely! :)) For those who are very noise sensitive, there is a short rumbling sound when the train goes past, but it was only 1-3 secs so it was no problem.
