Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. Everything! The staff were very helpful and nice, loved the atmosphere and waking up to the mt Fuji was the best part!

So cozy and peaceful. It felt like I was back in my grandparents' room, only it's in Japan. It sucks that you have to share the building with other people and use the same facilities, but if you're staying for 1-2 nights, you will not regret your stay!

The bed was comfortable, and the top floor had a good view of mt fuji. There were free bicycles, umbrellas, ear plugs, snacks, coffee, and candies. The staff will also help you with getting your luggage downstairs.

The traditional Japanese room was very clean and lovely, and the place was quiet. The room had a view of the majestic Fuji-san, which allowed us to quickly know whether it was visible or covered before leaving the hotel. We simply loved the experience, I highly recommend it!
