So clean, great facilities (hot water, washing machine, shared kitchen and dining area, slippers to walk around in). The highlight was the owner, he was SO KIND and friendly, always smiling, honestly one of the nicest guys we have come across travelling in Asia! He even sorted our laundry for us by splitting the load which he had no obligation to do. Little things like moving our trainers as the sun moved so they dried better. He's a gem and so is this place. 🫶🏽 very affordable too! You will feel at home here.

Homy Seafront Hostel is situated in Kota Kinabalu, within 3.6 km of Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village and 5.4 km of North Borneo Railway. One of the best hostels I’ve ever been to. The view from the window was amazing. The communal area was very comfortable. Free breakfast that we could eat 24 hours a day. The place is also walkable to anywhere we need to go.

Concrete Jungle Cabin is set in Kota Kinabalu, within 4.1 km of Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village and 5.2 km of Likas City Mosque. I loved how comfy the bed is. The showers and toilets were separated and kept clean by the care takers. Though I have to keep quite all the time as the dorm was also occupied with other travellers. I checked in quite late and stayed only for 6 hours and prior to my late arrival, as the reception is only available for 12 hours, the management sent me a message on Booking for self check-in which was so convenient and great especially for a late check-in. Thank you for the auntie who was there to help me out as well. Loved her vibe! Place is situated at the heart of Gaya Street, right in front of Jesselton Hotel and quite close to Wisma Merdeka (which was my main purpose to go there). I'm grateful for the locker underneath. Got to store my luggage inside safely, whilst I roam around the street. Affordable? Definitely Location? Yes Clean and comfortable? Yes Would I book here again? Yes

Clean, helpful staff, good wifi, hot shower, they let you use the laundry machine for free. Definitely good value for money.

Set in Kota Kinabalu and with Filipino Market Sabah reachable within 500 metres, Signel Hostel offers a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. Jeff was super nice and helped me change to a girl's room. The location of the hostel is also very convenient, there are supermarkets and night market nearby. It's only a 15 minute walk from the diving pier, very happy traveling time, next time I go to Kota Kinabalu, I will choose this place again.

Located in Kota Kinabalu, 1.7 km from Filipino Market Sabah, Vibrant Hostel provides air-conditioned rooms and a shared lounge. The family rooms had pretty much their own level and own bathrooms. Despite the hostel having other rooms, they were all in other levels so it was quiet. We ended up staying again when we came back to KK at the end of our trip. It was too good! The location was very convenient being next to the shopping centre. Perfect for buying travelling essentials, eating or just strolling.
