It’s a nice little oasis, not too far off the main road with a spot to park out front. The dorm beds were comfortable (and each had their own fan). There are nice places to chill, it’s well laid out, and the restaurant prices are very reasonable. When it’s not cloudy, you get a great view of volcano Concepcion from the 2nd floor. Irs pretty easy to chat with other travelers.

The greenery, fresh food with even more fresh ingredients from the backyard. The pizza night, people, staff, owner and so inspiring. Mushroom tour, yoga and so many real activities being run well. The authenticity and the little bit of magic that is here makes this place an amazing stay! By far coolest hostel. Having a nice big kitchen and fire pit makes it feel like home. The animals and the fruit trees. The stories about each of the caravans. If your looking for a vibe this is it!

It’s a bit aside from the port city Moyogalpa, so it’s very calm and almost no cars and people here, but still easy to reach by foot from the Centre (15 min walk). It has breakfast included and it’s home cooked food by the family. My room was very spacious, with 1 double and 1 single bed. They had outlets outside and inside, so i could work online here. Ask for both WiFi passwords! The host family was very nice and always tried to help, like when I needed a dentist they found a number. They don’t speak English (as most locals here) but with my broken Spanish and google translate we always understood each other. You can also ask them about the laundry option. Thanks for hosting me!

B&B, family run homestay, Hospedaje La Penita ligger i Altagracia, 16 km fra Maderas Volcano, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.
