The owners Daniela & Tony went above and beyond for their guests to make sure we were all comfortable and had everything for our stay. Beds in the dorm were comfortable, bathroom was clean, everyone had a fan, drinking water provided, hammocks, a delicious affordable breakfast was also an option which I highly recommend! The location was close to the ferry port, it was very easy to explore other parts of the island by renting a scooter.

No puedo más que decir que estuvimos 4 días en la isla que nos encantó, al igual que el hotel, está cuidado al detalle, tanto los jardines y las habitaciones, con el plus de la amabilidad de Patricia, la dueña, está siempre dispuesta a ayudarte y darte toda la información que precises, sin duda si vuelvo a la isla repetiría. P.D me vine con ganas de apostatar🤣🤣🤣

As the name implies, Life is Good, and they do a great job of showing that through their care of the hostel, the guests, and the overall vibe of the place.

Staff was so kind, room was clean and comfortable with a fan for each bed, location was perfect for getting on the ferry the next day and they are able to help set up rides/excursions. Excellent value for the price, would definitely stay again!

El Zopilote Permaculture Farm/hostel es un albergue para mochileros y una granja de permacultura al mismo tiempo. Tuve una hermosa experiencia en el Zopilote, la gente que trabaja es lo mejor, me trataron muy bien. La comida es riquísima y todo es espectacular. Gracias! 🙏🏻❤️

Raindance se encuentra en Santa Cruz y ofrece alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, jardín y bar frente a la playa, a 19 min a pie de Playa de Santo Domingo. The pool was a real staple, always clean and a perfect temperature. The cages to sleep in were great to keep the mosquitos out.

Rainbow Caravan Hostel está en Las Pilas, a 17 km de Volcán Maderas, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y restaurante. The place was very clean and tidy, tranquil, and no noise at night which is rare in Nicaragua because there's always someone making some noise. The food was quality, homemade vegan goodness. Making a fire was cool and it has all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment so you can bring beer. Didn't have any bugs unlike some of the other hostels i stayed in on Ometepe. It's quite a good location equidistance between the two towns and near the start of Volcan Concepción. I recommend renting an ATV rather than a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe, don't trust the people on the San Jorge side. The hostel also offers scooter rental although I picked mine up at port. Very photogenic hostel and peaceful.

B&B, family run homestay, Hospedaje La Penita se encuentra en Altagracia, a 16 km de Volcán Maderas, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.
