Clean and friendly hostel with good kitchen, showers, laundry machine. Comfy beds, good pillows, amazing staff. We recommend a longer stay in Barentsburg to taste some of its vibe of humble, genuine, peaceful, friendly creativity in an amazing setting. We stayed one week, could easily have stayed longer. We will be back! Thank you!

Russkiy Dom er staðsett í Longyearbyen, í innan við 1,2 km fjarlægð frá Svalbarðskirkjunni og býður upp á sameiginlega setustofu, reyklaus herbergi og ókeypis WiFi. A small guesthouse, 4 rooms and living room/kitchen, very clean, rooms with several beds, but accessible as singles. Fully equipped kitchen with anything you might need for your stay. Decent price, close to the city center, near the University, a few minutes walk from the bus station, 10 minutes to the supermarket and the city center. The very kind and friendly staff were there for any need, including suggesting trips or helping us with a taxi. Special thanks to Julia, with whom we tried for two nights to meet Aurora and did not give up until we were successful! I will come back to Longyearbyen with great pleasure and will definitely stay at Ruskiy Dom!

Gjestehuset 102 – your cozy home away from home in Longyearbyen. Warm, welcoming, and locally run, our small guesthouse is the perfect base for exploring Svalbard. Amazing staff, great people, very clean, breakfast was great and so was the uniquely isolated location.

This hotel offers budget accommodation on the Arctic Ocean island of Svalbard. Communal facilities include a kitchen and TV lounge. Snowmobile safaris, dog sledding and glacier walks can be arranged. This hotel is a bit further from the city center, about a 40 minute walk, but it's worth it. I managed to catch the northern lights in the evening and the whole area is quiet and picturesque. Every company that organizes trips will pick you up and drop you off here. The bar and lounge area are great until 2 am.The bathroom is shared but clean and there is plenty of bathrooms so I didn't mind it at all.
