The staff were super welcoming and always ready to help with tips about the island. The place is modern, clean, and comfortable, with a really nice vibe that makes it easy to relax after exploring. The location couldn’t be better — right in the center of Ponta Delgada, close to restaurants, cafés, and the marina. Breakfast was tasty and the common areas felt cozy. Definitely a solid choice if you want a mix of comfort, friendliness, and good value in São Miguel.

Loved this hostel! Iris, the owner, is so kind and present. Check in was super easy and I was able to check out late before my flight. The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms are really nice. My room had full bed bunk beds -- it was so nice to have a little bigger space to sleep after twin bed throughout the rest of my trip. The hostel is in a great location too and is super clean!

From the check-in to the check-out! The location is great: just opposite the mercado da graça. That day, they sent me the codes to get in early. There's a lift. The bedroom was really nice, i had a bath and a hand towel, which I completely appreciated. You can also ask them to change towels, amazing. There was a bathroom in suite, with shower gel and shampoo. The water pressure and temperature were excellent. The bed was comfortable, with a personal light and socket, and curtains too. The hostel was clean and tidy. There is a beautiful kitchen/living room. Everything that you might need is there! Including coffee machine and cold water. I also liked the breakfast. Even if it was served the same breakfast everyday, the quality was top! And as it starts at 8, they can also help you with a breakfast box if you need. There is also a rooftop where you can have a view of the beautiful Ponta Delgada. One of the best hostels I've ever been to! Thank you for every detail. And thanks to the lady from reception who was very kind!!!

From the very first minutes you can tell every guest matters here: amazing breakfasts, heartfelt late-night conversations, and a snug corner with fluffy cats—for whom I’m already planning to bring treats. But the real magic is how Susan and Pedro build a true community. They don’t just greet and wave goodbye; they draw you and the other travelers into island walks, mini-events, and shared adventures. Thanks to them, exploring the island stops being a checklist of “must-see” spots and turns into an engaging journey with new friends. I’ll definitely be back for their sincere care and those “fluffy roommates” who make everything feel like home. Susan, Pedro, and your cats—you’re the best!

Loving Strangers Hostel ligger i Madalena och erbjuder en trädgård, en gemensam lounge, en terrass och en bar. Boendet har karaoke och ett gemensamt kök. Fantastisk plats att bo på! Jag önskar att jag haft detta som bas då jag utforskat de omgivande öarna. Att komma hit var som att komma hem till en ny familj. Redan vid grinden ropade ägaren mitt namn. Mitt namn var skrivit på sängen och min hylla. Detta ställe är något i särklass och du kommer vilja komma tillbaka bara för att bo här. Middagen tillsammans med de andra gästerna var jättetrevlig. Jag pratade med många och det kändes som jag fick många nya vänner under bara ett dygn. :) Jag kommer definitivt tillbaka.

Angra Heritage - City Center Hostel ligger i Angra do Heroísmo, inom 2 minuters promenad från Zona Balnear da Prainha strand och 1,6 km från Praia da Silveira. Everything is perfect, the room, the location. The people working there are super nice and helpful.
