It was very well in the middle of the city, which meant easy access to anything. It also meant no free parking places around downtown, and no warning about it. We managed eventually, with the help of friends, but warning would have been appreciated. Apart from that, everything was as advertised, and even better (generous bathroom, clean, high-end appliances, they managed to squeeze in a refrigerator, coffee maker and electric mug for tea, free change of towels). Excellent value for money, friendly staff, great location. Highly recommended.

The location was perfect, very close to the city center, and if you didn't want to walk too much, you have a bus station about 100 meters away. The room was clean, wi-fi was fast, and the bed was comfortable.

Situated in a pedestrian area inside Cluj-Napoca's mediaeval city wall, Hostel Retro offers 24-hour reception, free bicycles, as well as a sauna for a surcharge. I love the environment; it is a place made for young travelers, with favorable conditions for socializing in the 'living room' with free coffee and everything. The host, Ciprian, is very nice, and I hope to see him again one day. The location is perfect; it's in the old city, a bit off, but there's a supermarket close by, and you can join free tours around Cluj or some specialized tours for a fee. I enjoyed it, and I recommend staying here if you are an adventurer.

I really loved this accomodation. It is a Hostel, I booked a separate room w/ shared bathroom and kitchen. The room was clean and comfortable. The management is really helpful - I arrived by car, and there are a limited number of parking spaces int he yard of the hostel. but the manager offerded several solutions, I was really impressed. This place is ideal four young travellers who want to explore the city, it is very close to the center, absolute walking distance. It has great common areas where you can relax together. I did love the athmosphere of this old villa as the owner called it.
